Great Falls Chapter Giving Back for 23 years (Over $1.9 million and counting!!)

CONSERVATION

  • Donated $25,000 to the Eagles Roost Conservation Easement Project with Montana FWP.
  • Donated $1,000 to the Region 4 Turkey Trapping and Transplant Program.
  • $406,700 to Montana FWP for selling Governor’s Mountain Goat Tag at banquet last 15 years
  • $5,000 to MTFWP for the reintroduction of the Big Horn Sheep into the Little Belt Mountains.
  • $10,000 to MTFWP for the reintroduction of the Pine Marten to the Little Belt Mountains.
  • We conduct two (2) Highway Clean-ups per year on US Highway 89 (markers 59 thru 61)
  • $25,000 toward the Devil’s Kitchen Elk Movement and Special Ecology Project that will run from 2019 to 2023.
  • $20,000 toward the Everson Bench Conservati0n Easement
  • $5000 toward the Whiskey Ridge Conservation Easement
  • $50,000 donated towards the Falls Creek Acquisition Project which adds 442 acres to the Helena-Lewis & Clark National Forest along with improved public access to 26,000 acres of public land.
  • Partnered with MFWP, donated $50,000 toward the Whitetail Prairie land acquisition
  • $4,400 Guide Outfitters Assn of BC (GOABC) to help battle the Canadian Government
  • Donated $28,500 to FWP for the relocation of mountain goats to the Ear Mountain WMA
  • Donated $5,600 for Elk Research Project in Central Montana with FWP
  • $140,400 to partner with conservation organizations such as DU, NWTF, PF, NRA, RMEF, Mule Deer, Walleyes Unlimited, etc. to support their banquets and activities
  • Donated $2,000 to Big Snowy Aspen & Meadow Restoration to MFWP
  • Donated$1,000 to Paragrin Falcon Research in British Columbia
  • Donated $2,000 toward Sage Grouse Research
  • Donated $5,000 to reseed acreage by Jordan, Montana
  • Donated $5,900 toward the feeding & transplanting of turkeys to Montana
  • Donated $10,000 to the Olson Conservation Easement Project through Montana FWP

EDUCATION

  • Purchased $31,000 in bricks and chapter star for the Hunters Embassy to support the Washington D.C. Education program.
  • Donated $2400 for 300 Hunters Orange Vests to support Hunters Education in Great Falls.
  • Donated $1286 for 50 cans of bear spray to support FWP Region 4 Bear Management Program.
  • $8000 towards youth archery i.e. Scholastic 3D Archery (S3DA) clubs in Helena, Cascade & Great Falls
  • $33,000 to Hooked on Fishing Not Drugs East & North Middle School Program & Camp Walleye
  • Donated $7,000 to Christian Sportsman Banquet & Youth Hunting Program since 2010
  • $2,500 to a Biology Student at University of Providence for work and training as a summer wildlife technician inter/volunteer for Judith -Mussel Shell Ranger District.
  • Donations equaling $10,000 towards hunter orange vests for the Hunter Safety Program
  • Donated $1000 to Boy Scouts of America Pack 4143 towards tree planting/cleanup of Black Eagle Park.
  • Donated $1,000 for youth waterfowl/upland bird educational clinics in Region 4
  • Sponsored $28,000 toward College Scholarships to 28 area high school seniors

HUMANITARIAN

  • Donated $4800 for 600 Hunters Orange Vests to support Hunters Education in Great Falls.
  • Donated $9,300 to Grace Home Veterans Center in Great Falls
  • $5,000 donated to an injured vet to go to Namibia for a hunt donated by Jan Oelofse Safaris.
  • Sponsored a disabled youth hunter on an African safari $5,000
  • $1480 donated to 2 boys whose father was killed in Afghanistan 10 years ago. His wish was they would learn to hunt. The money is to pay for out-of-state hunting license and game processing for a hunt scheduled here in Montana. 
  • $1,700 to Red Horse Company who deployed in March 2021
  • $1000 towards Missouri River Shooting Association for cement and access improvement
  • Donated $5,000 to Garfield Country Fire Foundation
  • Donated $2,000 to St Jude’s Hospital
  • Support University of Providence Girls Basketball & Boys Wrestling Teams $5,500
  • Sportsmen Against Hunger donated 152,000 lbs. of game meat and 12 rifles
  • Donated a meat grinder valued at over $5,000 to Set Free Ministries in Great Falls.
  • Donated $5,585 to Eagle Mount for an Equipony exercise system
  • Donated $1,000 to Walleyes Unlimited to help build a new boat dock at Lake Francis
  • Sponsored a handicapped hunter on an elk hunt $1,000
  • Provided $500 for the Cascade County Sheriff’s and FWP Warden Youth Hunter Program
  • Conduct Sensory Safari at the School for Deaf and Blind
  • Active in the USFWS Benton Lake Refuge CCP Process to enhance local waterfowl hunting
  • Donated in excess of $1,000 worth of beef jerky to American soldiers in Iraq
  • Donated a $1,350 mechanical deer to MT Fish, Wildlife & Parks
  • Sponsored members on Health and Humanitarian Projects $10,000
  • Donated $6,000 toward the Great Falls Shooting Complex
  • Donated $12,500 to the Sun River Skeet Club for skeet field #4
  • Donated $500 for permanent stock hitching rails at Beartooth Wildlife Management Area
